About Hatchwise

Hatchwise is a free, independent Palworld breeding calculator. It exists because most breeding charts went out of date when Palworld 1.0 rewrote the breeding table.

Where the data comes from

Breeding results, breeding power, passive skill and IV weights come from the game files, via the open-source Pal Calc project's extracted data (MIT licence). The current data was extracted on 16 October 2026.

How results are checked

• The build script loads all 44,850 pairs and stops if any pair is missing or contradicts another.
• It re-creates the game's breeding-power rule and confirms it reproduces every normal result, which is how special combos are identified.
• Automated tests compare the calculator's answer for every pair with the game table before each release.

After a game patch, the data is re-extracted and every changed pair is listed in the changelog.
